Plumas STARS offers educational materials and screening resources for parents and caregivers to understand more about their young child's development and how to foster their growth and learning! Includes "Talk, Read, Sing!," Ages and Stages Development Screenings and Tool Kits, Protective Factors framework for strengthening families, information on childcare, Kindergarten Readiness and much more!

Mindful Nurturing Parenting

Helps parents grow and build resilient, strong families, by teaching them how to be more aware of their feelings and actions using mindfulness through an 8-week zoom class.

The Nurturing Parenting classes is recognized for being helpful by supporting personal growth and promoting strong families. The concept of mindfulness has been woven throughout these parenting classes to support emotional health and parenting self-awareness. Also provides private coaching sessions, and this class is open to parents, foster parents, caregivers, grandparents, CASA volunteers, and guardians.

Mindful Co-Parenting

Provides concrete instruction and support to parents who are separated, yet are parenting their children together. There is a fee associated with this 7-week course.

The Mindful Co-Parenting course identifies the effects of separation and divorce on both adults and children and the importance of developing a workable written Co-Parenting Plan that addresses the required components of time sharing, child exchanges, and communication. The live video classes offer multimedia presentations, worksheets and resources, and open discussions to provide support, encouragement and guidance in navigating the development of a successful co-parenting relationship. $200 per participant due and payable at the start of the 7-week class.
