This webpage provides families and visitors to Plumas County with many options for outside activities and places to visit, many free or low cost, such as the many lakes and hiking/biking trails.

Offers seasonal activities, such as youth sports for older siblings, the Almanor Park, playground, and community garden, Lake Almanor Rec Center, fun runs, in addition to many miles of bike paths and walking trails, and lake activities.

Location:

The Almanor Recreation and Parks District offers many seasonal activities for families, including sports for older siblings, the Almanor Park, playground, and community garden, and biking and walking paths.

Provides school year seasonal sports programs, open space play areas, bike and skate parks, as well as summer pool activities like family swim, and swim instruction in Quincy.

Location:

The District provides many opportunities for families with children to have fun in Quincy and the surrounding areas, including open spaces to play, bike and skate parks, summer pool activities and lessons, as well as sports programs for older siblings, such as little league, youth soccer, and basketball.

Location:

The City of Portola has many parks available for families to use and enjoy. All of the city parks and recreation facilities are free to use.

Location:

The IVCSD provides park and recreation services in Greenville and Taylorsville for local families, including basketball courts, a new baseball field in Greenville, open spaces to play and gather, and the Indian Valley Community Pool in Taylorsville.
